Dramatic discussions

Tuesday night discussion is experimenting with a new format: that of drama. Each week we aim to discuss a topic through the method of drama. "Actors" are selected at the start to passionately argue a case (sincerely, not simply "as an act"), remembering that the role of an actor is to communicate for the sake of the audience. "Moderators" will attempt to clarify and contrast what the actors offer, all for the sake of the dramatic encounter. Later, audience members will be invited by the mediators to enter the dramatic encounters set in action. This is philosophy in action, as method, as practise.

No philosophical background or reading is required or expected, and the group is entirely free to attend.
