Join us in Newton Abbot town centre as Christmas arrives in traditional spectacular style. As always, the town will be filled with food, fun and festivities before the ever-popular and dazzling array of lights is activated by none other than Father Christmas (the one and only...) at Newton Abbot Clock Tower.
Throughout the afternoon, there will be plenty to enjoy in the heart of the town. Devon Air Radio will provide music from the Clock Tower from 2pm onwards, whilst there will also be street food in Courtenay Street, Stiltwalkers and a walkabout from a Christmas Polar Bear (I'm as confused as you on that one...), plus plenty more. A Christmas Parade at 5pm from The Avenue will then deliver Old Saint Nick and co to the Clock Tower, ready for the Grand switch-on at 5:30pm.
See the link below for the full itinery of events taking place on the day;

We'll aim to meet on the corner of Golden Lion Square at the top of Bank Street, slightly earlier than last year at about 4:30pm to allow a bit of an easier passage into the crowds at the front of the Clock Tower. After enjoying the switch-on and the general ambience around the town, we can think about grabbing something to eat if this is something people feel like on the day. Don't worry if you arrive late or just want to join us for some food afterwards.
It goes without saying, please dress sensibly for a late November evening & hopefully the weather remains kind to us. This event has been a real highlight when we've hosted it before in 2019 & 2023, so hopefully more to come from this year's festive extravaganza.
