Wat we doen
Meetup with other English-speaking expats living in the Eindhoven area. Come along, make new friends and enjoy a few laughs. There is a meet up nearly every night of the week, in Eindhoven, either for a drink, to play board games, to enjoy comedy night, to play some music with music with stranger and learn languages, but always for a laugh. Everyone is welcome. Come along and get involved!
We believe that anyone should be able to feel at home and build a (social) network in the city of Eindhoven. So that’s what we are here for: to make you feel at home, to have fun, to help out and to let you build your social network. In order to do this, we organize many events ranging from Dutch language classes to music- and game nights, to meet up mornings for spouses. Join us - you will be made to feel very welcome!

The Dutch Course for beginners is a comprehensive program designed for individuals who are new to the Dutch language and want to develop a solid foundation in the basics of the language. This course is suitable for anyone who has little to no prior knowledge of Dutch.
The course covers essential language skills such as vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure. In addition, students will be introduced to the cultural aspects of the Dutch-speaking regions, helping them to understand the context and nuances of the language.
Through a combination of interactive lessons, exercises, and practical activities, learners will engage in a variety of language learning experiences. These activities are designed to enhance listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, enabling students to communicate effectively in everyday situations.
The Dutch Course for beginners is taught by experienced instructors who are skilled in teaching the language to beginners. They will provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the course, ensuring that students gain confidence in their language skills.
By completing the Dutch Course for beginners, students will have the language skills necessary to engage in basic conversations, understand simple written texts, and navigate common situations in a Dutch-speaking environment. This course is an excellent starting point for individuals who want to learn Dutch for personal, academic, or professional reasons, and it lays the groundwork for further advancement in Dutch language studies.

Course days: Tuesday, Friday 18:00-20:00
Location: Catharinaplein 21, 5611 DE Eindhoven. Dutch Academy Eindhoven (Dynamo building)
Dutch course: Beginners A1 level = Step 1 + Step 2 + Step 3 >
Duration: 11 weeks (22 classes of 2 hours each)
Lessons: Twice a week
Hours: 44 hours (22 classes x 2 hours)
Homework: 10 hours per week (e-learning: 110 hours)
Class size: 8-12 participants
Starting level: A0 Beginner
Materials: Book Simpel Nederlands, hand-outs*
Speaking practice: Additional Online Speaking sessions with native Dutch speakers (every week)

Very intensive course with a lot of additional study materials. Groups are small, both of the teachers are super nice, helpful and they really try to explain to you in that way that you understand. The teachers Philippe and Maurice put in a lot of effort and the study materials of Dutch Academy are excellent.
