Network for Older Adults (NOA), formerly SAGE Maine, is a statewide program that seeks to support, connect, and advocate with LGBTQ+ older adults in our community. In 2019, it merged and became a program of EqualityMaine. NOA currently has monthly in person events in Augusta, Bangor, Ellsworth, Houlton, and Portland as well as a twice monthly virtual Zoom gathering. 4/24/24 UPDATE: This statewide NOA Meetup group changed name on 4/23/24 and was formerly the NOA Bangor Meetup group. In an effort to communicate more effectively about NOA events, increase awareness about NOA events happening across the state, and build community on Meetups, we changed the NOA Bangor group to be a statewide Meetup group for NOA. In addition to Bangor events, our monthly events happening in Augusta, Houlton, Ellsworth, and Portland will be posted on this page (as well as any future events/programming in other areas of the state). NOA also had Portland and Central Maine Meetup groups, and we encourage all members of those two groups to join this now statewide group.
