What we’re about
We are rebooting this group after a long hiatus with meetings on the first Thursday of the mont at Wolverine Farm Publick House in north Fort Collins!
This is a group for anyone interested in learning more about the powerful features and services available with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This will be a great chance to meet up with other users, architects, etc. to learn (and teach!). Whether you're passionate about cloud computing or just curious, this is the place to scratch that itch.
We sometimes chat in the Northern Colorado Tech Meetups Slack group. You can sign up here:

Whether you're new to AWS or a long time user, you're welcome to come out, learn some new things and socialize with other AWS enthusiasts and professionals.
Upcoming events (1)
See all- AWS Double Header: Boring Tech vs. BottlerocketWolverine Farm Publick House, Fort Collins, CO
In our final 2024 meetup we'll have two separate talks:
Postgres + S3: Back to basics
Time to talk about working with boring technologies in AWS. Postgres and S3 are as boring as they would get. Importing/exporting data into/from relational databases is one of for the most commonly requested features in my experience. Is there a way to deliver this feature without writing any custom code? Let's find out, we'll talk about AWS RDS for Postgres, S3 and strategies for generating Infra as Code.
Alper Sunar is a Principal Engineer at Procore Technologies, and one of our regulars at the AWS Meetup.
Intro to Bottlerocket
Bottlerocket is a secure, container-focused operating system for use on EKS and ECS. Running your container workloads on Bottlerocket will not only help your security posture, but will also hopefully keep your security department at bay. If you run workloads on EKS or ECS, you'll want to learn some of the ways that Bottlrocket can help to make your life, and infrastructure, a little bit better and easier.
Brad Misterek is a DevOps Engineer at TriumphPay, working largely in the AWS and Kubernetes Ecosystems. He has worked in many roles, from Software Engineer, to management, and back again. He's been working with AWS for 6 years, first at Vertafore in Denver, then at a small startup (HubTran) which was acquired by TriumphPay.
