This hike will take us to the Three Bridges Vista Point via the Causeway Trail and East Ridge Trail. We will return the same way. Elevation is about 500 ft.

Tolay Lake is Sonoma County's largest regional park with 3,400 acres. It is named for the seasonal lake that forms in the valley between its hillsides. This is an easy and enjoyable hike around the ancient Tolay Creek in the southern Sonoma Mountains. The rolling hills of the park are a contrast against the vast meadows and old forests. From the trail we will have great views of Tolay Lake's valley, vineyards, and, if the clouds stay away, of San Francisco Bay and beyond.

Our pace is about 2.25 MPH. As always, we will take our time on the hike to observe and enjoy nature with other hiking and outdoor enthusiasts.

Bring your own water & snacks, maybe a hat and layers of clothes. It can be breezy in this park at this time of year.

--Bathroom in the parking lot.
--Dogs are allowed but must be leashed because of grazing animals.
--Optional stop for lunch in Petaluma after the hike.

Please be on time at 9:30 and ready to go soon after.

DIRECTIONS: The park is at 5869 Cannon Lane, Petaluma.
We will meet in the parking lot of the park. The park charges a $7 parking fee; free if you have a park pass.

BAD WEATHER CANCELS THE EVENT
I will post here by 7:30 am that morning if the hike is cancelled. No news is good news!

NO-SHOW POLICY
If you're signed up and can't make it, please cancel so people from the waitlist can attend. If you don't attend and haven't contacted the me through Comments or Direct Message before 8 am on the day of the hike, you will be marked as a no-show. Repeat no-shows will be removed from the group. Thanks for being considerate of your fellow nature enthusiasts.

Remember that the organizer is not a paid professional outdoor guide and that you are responsible for your own comfort and safety.
