In the situation where the event becomes full and there is a waitlist, and to ensure kindness, common courtesy and respect to those on the waitlist, we are instituting new policies to incentivize managing RSVPs appropriately.
1st No Show/RSVP Change is a freebie.
2nd No Show/RSVP Change will result in your status for the next event being moved to "Not Going."
3rd No Show/RSVP Change will result in the status for your next 2 events being moved to "Not Going."
Any subsequent no shows will result in your status in every event thereafter moved to "Not Going" until a discussion can be had with the group leaders and yourself regarding the constant violations of our terms.
NOTE: This is an advanced, more strenuous trail! We will meet at Caumsett State Historic Park in Huntington. We'll meet at 10 am in the main parking lot, which is near the park office. We'll wait 10 minutes for any stragglers.

Caumsett State Park - Perimeter Loop
Teresa and Jason will be leading this hike. They will decide exactly which trails within the park the group takes.
Unfortunately, there are no dogs with this group. Apologies.
If there is more than a 50% chance of rain in the forecast during the scheduled time of the hike, check back here to see if this event has been cancelled.
There are many gorgeous views of the Long Island Sound from the trail. Some parts of the trail are near cliff/bluff edges which are subject to erosion and mudslide, so if you choose to go off the trail toward the edge of the cliff, be cautious.
Liability Waiver: Hiking or outdoor activities have inherent risks. Your participation in our hikes or other events could be dangerous and can result in serious injury, medical emergency, even death. It is your responsibility to learn the trails and to follow the group, so you do not get detached from the group. Make yourself aware of your surroundings and trail conditions at all times. You agree to participate in these events completely at your own risk and to take full responsibility for your own safety and well-being, including those of your guests. You agree not to hold the Organizer, Co-Organizer, Assistant Organizers, Event Organizer, Event Hosts, Hike Leader or any other members responsible for any injuries, mishaps, or any other situation that may happen at a planned event. Your attendance at the event signifies that you have read and accept the terms of this liability waiver and other terms included in the event description.
