What we’re about
Welcome to The Northampton Cinema Group, if you are a film fan and enjoy watching films at the cinema but you don't have anyone to go with then this is the group for you. We are the only dedicated cinema Meetup Group in the area, we meet every weekend to see ALL the latest releases no matter what the genre is, this will usually be a film on Friday night and one or two on Saturday. This is an ideal group for quieter people as we spend a big chunk of the Meetup watching a film so there isn't as much pressure to say anything as there is with other groups. We do however have a film debrief/natter afterwards. We meet at Cineworld in Northampton so if you have an Unlimited Card you can make full use of it and have some like-minded people to meet every time you come to the cinema. We sometimes go for a meal before films and these are put up as separate events. Some additional ad hoc events such as disco evenings at the Picturedrome (an old cinema) are also listed.
All members must have a profile picture that clearly shows their face. This is for the security of members but also so that we can recognise you when you attend events.
Membership Fees
Yearly membership will be £5
(non-refundable, payable on joining and renewed each year.)
This covers the administration fees imposed by Meet-up for the running of the groups on their platform.
