A fairly short easy walk around Northamptons Washlands to blow away the cobwebs before Christmas! The washlands were created to stop flooding in Northampton but are now also home to lots of different water loving birds, so it maybe an idea to bring binoculars. The cafe stop at the end is a fabulous family run concern offering snacks and light lunches, it is also dog friendly. Meet in the free car park by the cafe at 10.30am. The mainly flat walk is about an hour at a steady pace, dogs need to be on a lead due to the birds and there maybe sheep.Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather conditions on the day. It can be windy so layers maybe a good idea. if the walk is not for you we will be back at the cafe about 12 noon if you would like to join us.

Meet at Waterside cafe which is by the canoe centre on the Bedford Road just south of the ring road.
