**Tournament fee: $119 includes a shared cart.** *A portion of the fee will be taken out for the prizes and Closest-to-the-Pin.*

This fun tournament format will be a four-person best ball, with each foursome using the 2 best scores on each hole as their team score. This will be a handicapped tournament, but if you don't have an official handicap, this is not a problem. We'll figure something out. You may choose your own team or I can assign the teams for those who do not have any requests.

**How this game is played:** Each hole will have one designated person whose score your team can use twice if that person has the lowest score among you four players. For example if Player #1 scores a birdie on his/her designated hole and everyone else gets a par, bogey or whatever, you can use the score of the designated player twice. In this case, your team score will be 2 birdies. If the designated player has a blow-up hole or has a higher score than others in your foursome, then you do not have to use the designated person's score. This puts the pressure off of the designated player.\*

\* The twist: Everyone will receive 1 red golf ball and (the) "Rudolph" must use that ball for his/her designated holes. If the red ball is lost, then "Rudolph" can use his/her own golf balls.

At the end of the round, your team will receive 1 stroke off your overall team score for every red ball that you still have remaining. If you forget to use the red ball when you are "Rudolph," 1 stroke will be added to your team's score for each time the designated player forgets to use the red ball. Don't forget, golf is a game of integrity, so please report such an incident if this happens.

**Added Note:** *Since I am combining this Rudolph Tournament with our NCGC Associate Club Championship, some of the players in your foursome may not be (a) "Rudolph," meaning that the remaining players in your group get to be "Rudolph" more often than a foursome of non-Championship qualifiers.*
