Assisted Dying: My Right to Decide

Details

Northern Ireland Humanists are supporting My Death My Decision NI in its campaign to see a change in the law here. Please join us for a discussion on how this can be achieved. The event will discuss the findings of the recent Lucid Talk Poll which showed the majority in NI in favour of a change in the law and will hear from international experts as well as those with direct experience.

A panel of contributors from across the islands will address questions related to the practical outworking of Assisted Dying laws in other parts of the United Kingdom, criteria for availing of Assisted Dying in Northern Ireland, and how to effectively advance the conversation around Assisted Dying in the region, potentially including a call for a Citizen’s Assembly. Speakers will include a high profile advocate for Assisted Dying, an expert by experience and a contributor to the Oireachtas commission on Assisted Dying.
