What we’re about

Welcome! This is a tennis meetup for players that like to play doubles and are rated 3.5 level and above.

GROUP POLICIES AND INFORMATION:

NO SHOWS AND LATE CANCELS: If you cannot attend a Meetup, please change your RSVP to No before the RSVP deadline. The RSVP deadline will be posted by me or another host in the comments section before every meetup. The RSVP deadline will be the night before for an early day event and around noon for weekday evening events. If you have an emergency and need to drop late please let me or the host know so that someone can be contacted to replace you.

WAITLISTERS: If you are on the waitlist it is your responsibility to monitor your status up to the RSVP deadline. Players that are added close to or after the deadline will be messaged by an organizer. Please keep your RSVPs updated even if you are on the waitlist. Hosts need to know how many people they have available for a meetup.

NEW MEMBERS: New members signing up for their first meetup will be messaged the day before the meetup by the host or another organizer asking them to confirm they are playing. You must reply back by the RSVP deadline that is posted in the comments section of the meetup. If you do not, you will be removed from that meetup and any other meetup you are signed up for until you do.

MINIMUM 3.5 LEVEL OF PLAY: Meetups are for players that can play doubles at the 3.5 level. This meetup DOES NOT accept beginners! Ratings guidelines can be found here:

COURT RULES: The courts are NOT reserved for this meetup. They are first come, first serve and have a time limit if people are waiting. This meetup has to follow the rules set by the city/county regarding public courts.

COURT AVAILABILITY: Courts have been tough to get post lockdown. Please try to arrive 15 - 30 min early for the meetup to help hold courts. If courts are busy then there may be waiting involved.

FORMAT: This group plays King of the Court in 25-30 min rounds. Everyone rotates and each round you will play with and against different people (usually). Because the way people rotate you will generally end up in a group of people around your level.

WEATHER: If the weather is bad or has a very good chance to be bad, I will cancel the meetup. I will be sure to cancel any events well in advance so nobody is wasting time driving to the courts on a rainy day. My goal is to make the call at least 2 hours out.

IMPORTANT: IT IS REQUIRED THAT YOU HAVE YOUR MEETUP MESSSAGES AND NOTIFICATIONS TURNED ON! This will prevent no shows.
