NSS IS A MEMBER-ORIENTED GROUP AND MEMBERSHIP IN IT'S COMMUNITY IS A PRIVILEGE NOT AN ENTITLEMENT. NSS MOTTO IS: " GIVE, AND YOU SHALT RECEIVE " we are here to support and help each other as well as have fun.

North Shore Social is our community. The place you can turn to, to cover your social needs and more! The members of NSS have always been the #1 priority.

NSS offers its members one of the most active, and diverse calendar of events in Meetup. All events are hosted by your co-members and friends. Every member of NSS knows that when they attend an event with NSS, they will be welcome and amongst friends. NSS members are some of the nicest, and most active people in Meetup according to our Meetup generated metrics. (under "stats")

All members are required to contribute to NSS by Hosting 6 Events a year and being exempt from dues OR with $ 20 yearly membership dues to help cover the costs of NSS. Members of NSS with chronic illnesses and low income are exempt from both dues and hosting, just let Eirini Kay know.

Option 1 (preferable):

AGREE TO HOST AT LEAST 6 EVENTS A YEAR AND BE MARKED EXEMPT FROM PAYING DUES.

The leadership team would be happy to help you out at the beginning.

Option 2:

PAY $20 YEARLY TO HELP COVER COSTS FOR NSS TO CONTINUE BEING THE EXTRAORDINARY COMMUNITY IT IS.

Option 3:

FACT: IF YOU HAVE A CHRONIC ILLNESS OR HAVE A LIMITED INCOME YOU ARE EXEMPT FROM DUES AND HOSTING. All you need to do is contact one of the Organizers.

(I believe it is nice and the right thing to do, for the rest of the NSS members to help support the membership of those in need)

{ WHAT HAVE DUES COLLECTED SO FAR PAYED FOR? } (just barely :( }

ALL MONEY COLLECTED BY NSS HAS GONE BACK TO NSS. NOT ONE CENT HAS EVERY BEEN SPENT FOR ANYTHING ELSE, PERIOD! SINCE 03-24-15 NSS HAS HAD IT'S OWN EIN# AND HAS BEEN IT'S OWN ENTITY SEPARATE FROM EIRINI KAY. ALL NSS FUNDS GET AUTOMATICALLY DEPOSITED INTO THE NORTH SHORE SOCIAL ACCOUNT. ALL RECEIPTS HAVE BEEN SAVED AND ARE USED FOR TAX PURPOSES.

1) COVER MEETUP DUES TO HOST NSS ON THERE SITE.

2) BUY MATERIAL THAT WAS USED FOR AND AT EVENTS!

3) RENTAL FOR VENUES FOR SOME SPECIAL EVENTS HOSTED BY NSS.

4) BOUGHT APPETIZERS OR DRINKS FOR MEMBERS TO SHARE AT EVENTS!

5) BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS FOR MEMBERS!

6) COVERED TO PAY A BILL AT VENUES THAT MEMBERS WALKED OUT WITH OUT PAYING. (yes it has happened a couple of times, the venues know NSS and actions like that damage our relations with venues. One of the reasons our KINGS event was canceled)

7) CHIPPING IN TO COVER INADEQUATE TIPPING. ( yes that happens often too, also damaging to our venue relationships.

8) SMALL CHIP INS TO HELP COVER THE COSTS OF LARGE EVENTS HOSTED AT THE HOMES OF SOME HOSTS.

9) JUST THIS MONTH BUYING 1 DRINK FOR THE HOSTS THAT HAVE HOSTED OVER 50 EVENTS TO THANK THEM FOR ALL THEY DO FOR NSS.

10) BOUGHT 6 GAMES THAT WERE PLAYED AT ABOUT 30 GAME EVENTS I HOSTED IN THE PAST.
