Forum Film Club 2024/25 Season!
Several members of Norwich Film Group are members of the Forum Film Club, which shows a film once a month in the Auditorium at the Forum.

The new season started in August 2024, and runs until July 2025. Unfortunately, membership has closed for the 2024/25 season, so you will need to be a paid-up member to attend.

This monthly all-inclusive club showcases popular movies from all decades and genres.

For just £17.50 per year you get:

• Access to 12 screenings (one a month)
• Access to our friendly and inclusive community to discuss films*
• The chance to choose films for future screenings

The Forum Film Club is run on a not-for-profit basis with all membership fees used to cover the purchase and licensing of each month's film.

Please note the following

• Films must be commercially available on DVD or Blu-ray
• We cannot show films via streaming platforms
• We reserve the right to veto films which we consider to be inappropriate

Films will be shown on the 2nd Thursday of each month**. Doors always open at 7pm with the film starting at 7.30pm.

Meet for a coffee beforehand from 6.45pm in Café Marzano - look out for a Meetup sign on the table. After the film, members head off to the Coach and Horses, Bethel Street for a drink.

FAQs

What does the £17.50 annual membership fee cover?

The Film Club is a not-for-profit venture. Your membership fee covers the cost of film rights, staffing and general venue and Film Club costs.

What films are shown?
Each month the group suggest and vote for themes. The theme with the most votes is selected and then members can suggest films within that theme. The film that receives the most votes is selected. When is it?
The membership runs from August 2024 to July 2025. The first screening will be on Thursday 8 August (doors open at 1900 and film starts at 1930). Screenings take place on the second Thursday of each month.

Can I come in late?
Sorry, but to ensure everyone enjoys the film no entry is permitted after 7.30pm.

Where are the films shown?
The Forum Auditorium, Millennium Plain, Norwich, NR2 1TF.
Access to the Auditorium is past the BBC reception desk and via the lift or stairs.

Does the film club have an age limit?
Yes, it’s strictly over 18’s only. This is to enable a full range of films to be offered.

Why do I need a Facebook account?
Facebook is a free and efficient platform in which to communicate with Film Club members and encourages interaction and discussion between members of the group.

How do I join the Facebook Group?
You will receive an invitation to join the Facebook group via the email address you supplied when registering on Ticketsolve - make sure it's the same one that's associated with your Facebook account, once you have paid your membership fee.

How do I book my seat?
You can book your seat via a poll in the Facebook group. Film Club administrators will post details of the next screening and when tickets are available on the group page.

How are the films chosen?
The Film Club will choose a genre each month, members are encouraged to recommend movies via the Facebook group, a shortlist will be chosen and members will decide which film will be shown via a Facebook poll.

Can I cancel my membership?
There is a 30 day cooling off period from the date of joining where a full refund will be issued. After that period membership is non-refundable.
