What we’re about
We have regular evening Meetups for people interested in psychology and making new friends. You definitely do not need to be a psychologist to join.
The facilitator will provide some material on the evening's topic and we will invite someone with experience in the topic to speak at the start of the meeting. You won't need to have any previous experience around the topic to join in. There will be activities and materials to take away with you. A small charge for tickets will allow the group to pay for the Meetup subscription, handouts or other materials and travel / expenses / food / drinks for speakers, whilst also making it easier to predict attendance numbers.
If people learn something or think differently as a result of our meetups that's great and if it just gets people out of the house for an enlightening evening that's brilliant too.
We welcome posts on our discussion pages that add comments or questions or have a link to interesting articles. Posts must of course be respectful of other members.
We do not allow commercial (i.e. for profit) advertising on the discussion pages or in emails to members, whether for events, services or products. Any such advertisements that appear will be removed.
This group is not intended to be used for therapeutic purposes, and although we will at times cover topics related to mental health, that is not the focus of the group. Please get in touch if you have any questions or suggestions.
