What we’re about

Norwich Shutterbugs is a group aimed at photographers of all levels. As long as you enjoy taking photos this group is for you! Although we’re a private group, we welcome anyone with an interest in photography to join! We’re 100% free!

All you need is a good eye, a creative flare, and something that can capture photos; it doesn’t matter if it’s a mobile phone or a high end SLR, it’s about you enjoying your hobby (or starting a new one).

The majority of the events will be photo walks, based local to Norwich, however we may add more varied events in the future. We will try to add a social element to our events too, usually with the walks ending at a café or bar.

We’re not a photography workshop, although I’m sure others can offer hints and advice when needed.

Important: You are responsible for your own equipment at all times. The group and its organisers cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to your equipment.

We plan for all of our events to be free, however we may at times host events at venues that require an admission fee. Whenever a fee is required we will make this clear on the event description.

Rules and guidelines:

  • We ask that all members have a recent(ish) profile photo that clearly shows your face. This is so we can identify you at events and allow others to see who is attending.
  • No pets or children under the age of 18 at events unless the event description explicitly says its ok.
  • Be considerate and respectful to others.
  • Please RSVP to events that you plan to attend and update the RSVP if you can no longer attend. Repeated "no shows" may see you removed from the group.
  • The event galleries are for photos that were taken during the event. If you did not attend an event, do not upload photos to that event gallery.
  • You are fully responsible for your own equipment at all times.
  • Do not cause distress to others. If someone doesn't want their photo taken, or you are asked to delete a photo, please respect this without confrontation.
  • Do not put yourself, or others, at risk.
  • You must abide by all UK laws relating to, but not limited to, photography.
  • Do not bring drones to events.
