DESCRIPTION
Starting at the Bethesda Metro station, we will take neighborhood streets and local trails to the Mormon Temple in Kensington, where we will visit the beautiful Christmas lights decorations - probably the best in the area. Then, we will walk back to Bethesda under a near-full moon. After the hike, optionally we will stop at a restaurant in Bethesda for dinner and drinks. Total distance: 10-11 miles; no significant elevation gain. Pace: 2.5 to 3.0 miles/hour. If you plan to join the dinner afterwards, bring money. There is plenty of free parking in the underground County garages nearby.
