North Reston Lakes and Woodlands Holiday Decorations (Rating: C)

This is an 8 mile hike with 500 feet of elevation gain around lakes and among the woodlands of North Reston. We will begin at the Lake Newport Tennis Courts in Reston and take various trails and paved paths through Reston. About 65% of the hike is on paved paths. Along the way we will pass lakes Newport, Anne and Fairfax, hike on the west side of Lake Fairfax Park, along the W&OD equestrian trail, Hidden Creek Country Club golf course and pass through Reston Town Center and Lake Anne Plaza. At the halfway point we will stop for a snack break. Two small stream crossings required.

Restrooms are available at the start/finish point and Reston Town Center.
