Manassas Battlefield Double Loop (Rating: B)

SIGN-IN AND LIABILITY: You must read the following NVHC Sign-in Sheet Statement/Liability Disclaimer, https://nvhc.com/signin.pdf and then answer the question that you will see when you RSVP with "I accept" to be permitted on the hike.

ROUTE, TERRAIN AND PACE: We will hike the 5.8 mile 1st Manassas loop trail (blue on the map) clockwise, followed by the 6.6 mile 2nd Manassas loop trail counterclockwise (red on the map), for a total of 12.4 miles. The elevation gain over gently rolling hills is 884 feet. We cross busy roads in several places. We will hike at a moderate pace of 2.5-2.7 mph.

We will meet at the Visitor Center parking lot at 9:00 and start hiking at 9:15. There are bathrooms in the Visitor Center.

BRING/WEAR: Drinks and lunch/snacks, appropriate clothing layers, hiking boots/shoes, hiking poles if you like to use them. Bring rain gear regardless of the forecast.

DOGS: Dogs are permitted on this hike in accordance with the NVHC Dog Policy. https://tinyurl.com/nvhcdogpolicy I plan to bring my dog.

CARPOOL: No official carpool will be set, but participants are free to use the message board to arrange rides.

FEES: Entrance to the park is free. Donations are accepted at the Visitor Center.
