'twas the afternoon of Christmas Day, when all through the house, everybody was lethargic; feeling as fat as a mouse.

The boots were by the door, feeling neglected and bare in hopes that a hike would soon be near. When what to my wandering eyes did appear? A day hike on MeetUp with friends all dear.

Please join us for an easy day hike on Christmas Day afternoon on the south side of Lake Fayetteville. We will travel both soft and hard surface trails but we will take it easy so this event is open to kids, grandma, significant others, in-laws, out-laws, and dogs. Have a house full of guests that need to stretch their legs? Bring 'em! The more the merrier on this easy jaunt through the woods.

(What is the difference between in-laws and out-laws? Out-laws are wanted. You are welcome.)

Meet at the trailhead parking lot at the Botanical Gardens at 1:30pm. As always, hikers do so at their own risk.
