What we’re about
We are a group of conlangers and conlanger-adjacent folks who get together in a cafe every couple of months to discuss conlanging, linguistics, and neography. All experience levels welcome - we have some members who've been working on a single project for 10+ years, but also total beginners and people with an ancillary interest in conlangs as part of a writing or worldbuilding project. Anyone with an interest in language can join!
We typically meet at Squarrel Cafe in Brooklyn (which charges an $8 seat fee for the afternoon) or the Union Square Barnes & Noble, but we are open to other locations! We typically decide dates and locations via poll in our Discord group, which we'll invite you to once you attend an event.
No fees. No official affiliation to any other organization, although we have a few LCS members in the group.
