See all- Digital Twins: System-wide Digital Transformation of Large Facilities (AIA LU)Patcraft, New York, NY
In the ongoing series on 3D scanning, the NYC Revit Users Group is hosting Lennart Andersson, director of Owner’s BIM at Enstoa. Join Lennart, a leader in the digitization of the built environment, as he explores the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across large-scale organizations.
- How to implement BIM across all facilities for large scale organizations.
- Learn what Digital Twins for Operations really means.
- The difference between Owners' BIM and AEC BIM.
- How does Design and construction interface with Owners' BIM.
Drawing on his extensive experience in enabling information-driven decision-making throughout the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) space, Andersson will delve into the true meaning of Digital Twins for Operations and their role in facility management. He will clarify the key distinctions between Owners' BIM and AEC BIM, providing insights into how each is tailored to different phases of the building lifecycle. Additionally, the session will cover the crucial interface between design and construction teams and Owners' BIM, ensuring a seamless integration for long-term asset management. Andersson, who teaches at Pratt Institute in New York and leads collaborative studios between Architects, Construction, and Facilities Managers, will share practical examples from his work to empower participants to drive digital transformation within their organizations.
SPEAKER:
Lennart Andersson is a Director of Enstoa’s Owners' BIM department, supporting the integration of BIM driven Reality capture for owners to supercharge space management and facilities operations. He is an Engineer, Architect and AECO technology innovator, and has degrees in Engineering from Sweden and a Master’s of Architecture from Savannah College of Art & Design. With over 25 years of experience, he has applied Virtual Design, Construction & Operation methodologies on a wide variety of building typologies. Lennart is also a Professor at Pratt Institute in New York. He has authored Virtual Design, Constructions, and Operation (VDCO) guidelines, and spoken at numerous industry conferences.
He also teaches at Pratt Institute in New York, where he's leading collaborative studios between Architects, Construction, and Facilities Managers.Microsoft Teams Need help?

Passcode: X7drYE - Not Magic Just Math (incl AIA Credit)Hafele America Co, New York, NY
Next iteration of "AI" in Architecture & Design: Benjamin Friedman of the DLR Group will elaborate on the latest in developing his own chatbots, building data tools for large real estate portfolios, graph generation, etc.
It's not magic, just math.Attendees will learn:
- Considerations in optimizing investment in capital improvement and renovations for developers with large building portfolios (SCA)
- Methods for evaluating detail similarity in existing image databases to inform image generation algorithms
- Strategies for data-driven recommendations for Revit (workflows? automatic tools?)
- How to leverage a knowledge graph to understand past design work to develop a practice-specific chat system and helpedesk function
Benny will examine the optimization of capital investment in building renovations, particularly for developers managing extensive portfolios, by leveraging AI-driven strategies. He will also delve into innovative methods for evaluating detail similarity within existing image databases, enhancing image generation algorithms. Additionally, we'll discuss data-driven approaches to improving Revit workflows through automated tools and strategies. Finally, the event highlights the potential of knowledge graphs in understanding past design work, facilitating the development of practice-specific chat systems and helpdesk functions tailored to the needs of architectural firms.
