Ride on the beautiful trails of the Muttontown Preserve
Details
Come riding on spectacularly beautiful trails hidden away in the center of Nassau County, Long Island. Your organizer’s barn, Big River Barn Rescue inc, is tucked away on a sprawling former Gold Coast estate now part of 500+ acres of preserved open land, with endless miles of gorgeous trails through woods and meadows. It’s the largest preserved open space in the county, but few people know about it. We ride for hours as if we are away upstate, far from civilization. Yet it’s close and easy to get to from anywhere in the NYC Metro area — typically only an hour from Manhattan by train or car. Hard to believe until you see it.
All skill levels are welcome. We ride in English tack, in small groups only. Our horses are excellent: forgiving of beginners, but willing to show skilled riders a good time. If you have the skills, we'll walk-trot-canter. Instruction is offered, as needed/desired. We'll be in the saddle for around 1 1/4 hours, and the cost is $125 per person.
Come discover one of the best riding opportunities in the NY Metro Area.
PLEASE NOTE: I run a barn. The Meetup group is really just a side gig. I do not run the barn through Meetup. So, if you want to come riding, you must TEXT ME DIRECTLY to arrange it at 516-650-0016.
If you message me here, it will just delay my response. All reservations must be made via text.
Also, we are open for riding seven days a week, so don’t feel limited to the riding times announced here. Just text me and let’s go!
