New Zealand H Friends is a social and support group for those with the Herpes Simplex Virus and in Aotearoa/New Zealand. We offer advice and empathy - and good company in a safe, relaxed environment.
The newly diagnosed are particularly welcome - we fully understand how difficult this time can be for you. Current membership spans all age ranges, with a great wealth of experience for newbies to draw upon. We are fully inclusive and non-judgmental – all are welcome.
We have members throughout NZ. Although Meetups are largely Auckland based currently, we also have organisers in Wellington and Christchurch. As well as the option of 3 monthly online video meetups.
People from other areas of NZ wishing to organise Meetups locally are encouraged to approach us to discuss. We will do everything we can to support you through the process.
This is a private group. Only this group description and a few basic stats are in the public domain. Personal information (name, photo, profile) and most activity details (venue specifics, event description, attendees) are only available to members.
There is required questions that are compulsory for new members to answer, so that we can respect and protect your privacy the best we can! Ange and I do our best to connect with all new members joining us to ensure we can support everyone in the best way possible!
Finally, please note that this is a support / social group, not a dating site. Of course, if you find a partner via this group we're very happy for you both. But please keep in mind that others are here primarily for support, and respect others boundaries accordingly :).
