The SEAN McKEE BAND
The Sean McKee Band is the 2024 WINNER of the Chicago Blues Challenge sponsored by the Windy City Blues Society and held at Buddy Guy's Legends. They are high energy Blues/Rock Band, mixing the styles of the Allman Brothers, BB King, Led Zeppelin, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and more into a genre medley that spans the sounds of low-down blues at The CheckerBoard Lounge to the blistering rock at the Madison Square Garden. Playing classic and deep-cut covers to original materials, it’s hard to believe a group of musicians younger than the age of 30 could emit the best sounds of a melting pot that inspires them, but doing so is what makes them an act you won’t want to miss!
The band's album "In This Life" was just reviewed by John Mitchell in Blues Blast Magazine (September 12, 2024 issue), and he concluded this about their high-energy blues/rock style...
