Please log in by 10:15.

We will begin writing at 10:30. If you log in after 10:30, please mute your microphone! The prompts will be in the Chat messages and you will see how much time is left to write on the screen.

Under normal circumstances...

Please arrive by 10:15 a.m. with pen and paper (or laptop, etc.) and be ready to write! At 10:30 a.m. we close the door, and you’ll be given three randomly selected writing prompts. How you use (or not use) those prompts while we write for the next 25 to 30 minutes is up to you. Expect the unexpected!

Latecomers—the prompts and the ending time will be posted on the door for you. There are plenty of desks outside the conference room, and you’re welcome to come in after writing.

We meet in the Sword Room, a second floor conference room in the southeast corner of the Newport Beach public library on Avocado, next door to City Hall. Updates are made to Meetup when there are scheduling conflicts.
