**Event details:**

* Come join in to play badminton for fun, gain some physical activity, meet new people, or even satisfy your badminton nostalgia!
* All levels are welcomed. We currently have players at beginner up to intermediate levels. Feel free to ask me if you have questions :)
* To beginners or those who feel this, please do not be intimated or discouraged to play with me. I play for fun and will adjust my play level so we all try to have a good time relative to your experience :)
* Facility is air conditioned & bathrooms available inside.
* Event structure: Courts are reserved at facility, listed below, & court number are designated by a white colored spray paint on the wall that appear as "1", "2", "8", & so on. Check in at the entrance after arriving & let them know you are part of Steven's group. If you need a racket and/or birdies, please look for host. Facility rules below. Please join a open court (has <4 players or needs a 4th player) & start a game after a brief warm up. To optimize play for all, please play 1 game and invite 4 other people who haven't played recently to your court with this cycle repeating on all courts.
* Courts booked: 8 courts total: 2 hours each (courts #2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, & 12). Courts adjusted (relative to total RSVP) \~Saturday morning before event (I can only cancel court reservations >24hours prior to event).
* Rackets: Please bring if you have & I have a few extra I don't mind letting you borrow if need. $1 charge will be applied if it is your 3rd time or so to offset upkeep. The facility offers badminton racket rentals for \~$6/day.
* Birdies/shuttlecocks: Only Yonex Birdies are allowed per facility rules. I will supply & got both nylon/plastic & feather.
* Badminton etiquette: when passing by a court, please be courteous by not walking in the court such as on the lines or within the lines as it interferes with people playing and stay at least a few feet back (if near the back end) to avoid unintentionally getting hit.
* If you are new to this club/facility then please sign electronic liability waiver at front desk upon entrance check in. Tell front desk you are in Steven's group.
* If your on wait list and want to come, please private message me and I will try to accommodate.

**What to bring:**

* Yourself in a tshirt & shorts/long pants, sweater/jacket (if you get cold), water bottle (in case you get thirsty), badminton racket/gear (if you have), & tennis shoes (or bring badminton shoes if you have) :)

* **How to get in**: Enter front double doors of building and check in at the front desk on your left (tell them you are part of Steven's group).

**Cost:**

* Estimated $12-19/person (will depend on # of people & courts reserved). For reference, it is $38/hr per court & up to 8 players allowed per court ($15 charge/person if >6 people playing on a court in reservation slot). Expenses split via venmo/zelle.
