What we’re about
About Us:
Welcome to the Older & Wiser Women's Book Club! This group is dedicated to the exploration of conscious aging, spiritual development, and women's experiences of menopause. We believe in the power of self-empowerment, as well as the importance of forming new friendships and support circles within our community.
Join us for lively book discussions, self-reflection, and socializing in Brooklyn. Whether you are navigating single life after 50, seeking to connect with other women over 60, or simply looking for a space to share and grow, this group is for you. Join us for an enriching and inspiring journey of self-discovery and connection.
How Books Are Selected:
Books for the coming year were chosen by me to support my own journey. I seek others who would also like to read and discuss these books as a starting place for women's fellowship. After this inaugural year, I anticipate group members will become involved in our ongoing book selection.
I am looking for women who would like to read many if not most of the books proposed. While it is understood that members may not be able to join every month, one goal is to gather a group of women who will learn and grow together through regular attendance at the monthly discussions. In this way we can form deeper connections with each other and we can synthesize our learning from multiple texts.
When & Where We Meet:
We will usually meet on the 2nd Monday of each month. Most typically, we will meet in North Brooklyn or Brownstone Brooklyn at smaller establishments that the organizer would like to support.
