What we’re about
Old school pen and paper Dungeons & Dragons - Gygax Style!
Suitable for people who have experienced the old school systems - Basic D&D, 1st ed AD&D and 2nd ed AD&D. Prefer you to find your own copies of Players Manual (we have some copies to borrow on the night) and we expect to play once a fortnight or once per month on either a Friday night or a Saturday during the day on Brisbane Northside (Chermside, Strathpine, etc - still looking for a place to run and a Dungeon Master to...eh Dungeon Master).
Members expected to contribute a small donation (approx $5) for room booking fees, meetup fees and to replenish the coffee and bikkies jar.
[The most immediate influences upon AD&D were probably de Camp & Pratt, R. E. Howard, Fritz Leiber, Jack Vance, H. P. Lovecraft, and A. Merritt; but all of the above authors, as well as many not listed, certainly helped to shape the form of the game. For this reason, and for the hours of reading enjoyment, I heartily recommend the works of these fine authors to you.”
