Welcome to Omaha Comedy Lovers for Shows & Classes! Whatever type of comedy you love, The Backline Comedy Theatre in downtown Omaha hosts them! Standup, improv, sketch, musicals, whatever!
The Backline is loved by performers and audience members both here in Omaha and everyone visiting. Touring comedians often say they wish they had a place like this in their city and tourists say they had no idea Omaha has such a good local comedy scene.
Our students often make lifelong friends as they take our classes, which include everyday folks just trying to have more fun in their week as well as influential Omahans like filmmakers, cartoonists, small business owners, lawyers, doctors, politicians, musicians, actors, and obviously comedians!
Events range from seeing shows and open mics to classes and workshops, as well as special events like parties and other social activities. We're very proud of our inclusive community who love to chat with people interested in getting into comedy!
