- Faerie Barter MarketAiZen Root Remedy, Kansas City, MO
Whatever happened to bartering?! The Fae still do it all the time!
Come one, come all to the Fairy Barter Market, a magical event where you can trade old trinkets for new treasures! It's a potluck of arts and crafts, so bring anything that no longer serves you so that someone else can enjoy it!
Bring your art, handmade wares, thrifted trinkets, antiques, decor items, craft supplies and more to trade with each other and vendors at the market. This is a time to celebrate each other's creativity with the art of trade (there will also be SOME options to purchase things from these vendors you don't have anything for trade, but keep in mind that this is a trade event and no money exchange is preferred).
This is a completely free event with no money exchange among the vendors, but the business will be open for you to enjoy!

Barter Market Rules
Bartering is the main focus so bring things you're comfortable trading away, try not to bring more than what fills a (4"x6") table (you may have to split a 6ft table this time around), vendors should tell all their friends to come by and bring something to trade too!
How much should I bring?
About a basket/milk crate worth of stuff is generally enough.

What should I bring?
People generally bring small art pieces, trinkets, jewelry, small vintage items, interesting mugs/teacups, craft supplies, metaphysical supplies, tarot decks, books, retro toys, fantasy art, clothing/costume accessories, small pottery pieces, handmade items, crystals, plant cuttings, candles, crochet, incense, trading cards/small board games, etc.
Please do not bring...- Baked goods or prepared food items for trade.
- Things that should probably go in the trash.
- Extremely used items (ie candles with limited life left, etc)

Creature Crafternoon: Mari Lwyd Ornament at ReRoll Tavern with OmniFeral
Join fellow creatures on Saturday December 15th at 2 - 4PM at ReRoll Tavern in North Kansas City to create your own Mari Lwyd holiday ornament!
Mari Lwyd is a unique and intriguing tradition in Welsh folklore and culture. Mari Lwyd, which translates to "Gray Mare" in English, is a centuries-old custom that typically takes place during the Christmas season and New Year's in Wales. It involves a person or group of people parading through the streets with a life-sized horse skull mounted on a pole. The skull is decorated with ribbons and other ornaments, and the person or group conceals themselves under a cloak to resemble a horse.
Now, you can create your own fun and unique holiday ornaments inspired by Mari Lwyd using a 3D printed horse skull. These unique ornaments will not only add a touch of Welsh tradition to your holiday decor but also serve as a conversation starter, allowing you to share the fascinating story of Mari Lwyd with friends and family during the holiday season.
Attending creatures will get their own 4" horse skull and can use provided materials to decorate and take home! Decorate with ribbons, bells, paint and other festive elements to make your own unique ornament that captures the spirit of Mari Lwyd.
Have something special in mind? Feel free to bring your own accents to add. These unique ornaments will not only add a touch of Welsh tradition to your holiday decor but also serve as a conversation starter, allowing you to share the fascinating story of Mari Lwyd with friends and family during the holiday season.
