What we’re about
Not too long ago people believed our sun revolved around the earth. We thought the earth was flat (some still do, oddly), and many imagined stars were moon fragments embedded onto a vast dome in the night sky. As science progressed, we were told our galaxy was the center of the universe, with Earth being unique among all planets.
Today we’re aware of 60 billion potentially habitable planets among as many as 8 trillion just within the Milky Way galaxy. We currently can observe 2 trillion other galaxies, meaning, the number realistically is infinite. Infinite galaxies with trillion of planets within infinite space.
Despite this knowledge, we continue to resist the idea of a latent hominoid roaming the earth, or of people from other planets visiting us. The idea conflicts with what we've been taught and creates fear of the unfamiliar.
We will always be ruled by our presuppositions until we investigate and learn the truth for ourselves. In this group we will explore these mysteries, challenge our belief system, uncover logical answers to the inexplicable, and have a lot of fun while doing it!
Our planned events will include a variety of activities which could be anything from an easy hike, to overnight trips. The idea is to have fun, and to share ideas and insights on concepts not yet understood by the mainstream.
While the group is growing in size, I’ll often combine events here with my other group, Hiking Boots & Booze, as a means to connect with a larger group, and maybe recruit more members.
**ATTENDANCE** Please be mindful of your reservations. If you commit to an event then decide not to go, please change your r.s.v.p. IMMEDIATELY so the group is not standing around waiting for you. Anyone with 2 no-shows might be removed from the group without notice.
