What we’re about
One with the Ocean is a non-profit that works to connect people to the ocean. As part of this mission we offer free, coached ocean workouts that are open to swimmers of all levels. From pool swimmers looking to conquer their fear and explore the ocean to elite-level triathletes working to hone their swim technique in a fun and supportive community environment, everyone is welcome at OWO swims. Introduce yourself when you arrive and let us know your skill and comfort level in the ocean and we'll make sure you have the right buddies and support!

We alternate each week between a distance swim (up to 2 miles), and an in-ocean circuit workout. We are open to swimmers of all levels; from Olympians and Navy Seals to beginners looking to make it out past the break for the first time. Just let us know when you get there what your experience is and we'll find the right buddies and support for you!
**NOTE** Don't worry if this event looks sparsely attended, we manage attendance in a different app. Come and join us and we'll get you all hooked up!
All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to joining our swim. You can sign it online **here**
What you'll need to bring: Swimwear, goggles, brightly-colored swim cap if you have one. That's it really. Wetsuits are optional and down to each swimmer's preference. The water temperatures generally get as low as mid-50's in the winter and as high as mid-70's in the summer. Most people are comfortable swimming without a wetsuit from Memorial Day through late September. You can check the local surf forecast for a good temperature estimate day of. If you're not sure and don't have a wetsuit, come out anyway and we'll see how you feel!
Stick around after the swim to meet the other swimmers and enjoy some coffee.
If you need an address to plug in to your GPS, use 1101 Esplanade, Redondo Beach, 90277. Head down the ramp from there and you can't miss us!
