Meet the Founders of Nexus Impact Services

Meghan Gilson. From teacher to CEO, Ms. Gilson is a versatile leader with a unique blend of academic and entrepreneurial experience. Her background in education, coupled with a keen understanding of technology and business strategy, positions her at the forefront of innovative solutions. From developing engaging curriculum to co-founding a cutting-edge AI startup, Meghan seamlessly transitions between diverse roles, leveraging her strong instructional design, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive success.
Dan Humphrey. As Chief of Staff at Nexus Impact Services, Dan serves as a key partner to the CEO, driving strategic initiatives and fostering cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic and rapidly growing startup environment. “I lead organizational alignment, project management, and operational efficiency, ensuring that Nexus fulfills its mission and vision.” With a focus on research, data analysis, and executive support, Dan plays a pivotal role in empowering the leadership team and driving critical business initiatives to success. The Discussion. 1 Million Cups is a national entrepreneurship program of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, which promotes peer learning and professional connections that assist entrepreneurs.
RVA Works brought 1 Million Cups to Richmond in 2014, and have supported over 400 meetups.
1 Million Cups - Richmond is hosted by the Robins School of Business, University of Richmond.
At each 1 Million Cups, business founders as guest speakers share about their ventures and discuss the challenges that they are facing during the development process. Participants can learn from the speakers’ experiences, discuss valuable insights, and connect with other entrepreneurs, students, faculty, and investors.
