What we’re about
This group is for everyone who wants to get out and explore all of the amazing events and activities along our Coast. We plan events around the Orange County Coastline, from Long Beach down to San Clemente. Our events can range from meeting for coffee, trying new venues, lunch spots, dinner hot spots, wine tasting, breweries, stand up paddle boarding, bike riding, hiking, beach yoga, studio yoga, boating, beach bon fires, bowling, and so much more. The list is endless the amazing experiences we can have here along our gorgeous SoCal coast!
This group is for anyone who has a busy life and needs a social life or if you are new to Orange County and looking to meet new friends or you have lived here for a long time and want to meet new people, this group is for you! Bring your friends or come alone, we are excited to build this group and plan some great activities.
So many of us have personal struggles and none of us have it easy or perfect but with the right group of friends and a positive attitude we can support each other and bring joy to each other for those moments we share experiences together. We ask that everyone come to the group with a positive outlook and attitude and not to bring any strong opinions of politics or religion into the group and to respect each other’s values and beliefs if they differ from their own.
If you RSVP and decide you can’t make it, not a problem, we understand, just make sure you change your RSVP to not attending. There will be events that require a headcount so it would be appreciated that you please try to not be a no show for the events that require a certain amount of us to commit. CASUAL BICYCLING – SOCIAL EXERCISE – PICNIC
10:00 –Ocean trails bicycle tour along the coast and to the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary. Haven’t ridden a bike in a while? Bike rentals are EZ, and our rides are great for first timers, shy people, and expert riders. Open for all levels but must have a basic level of fitness and be willing and able to ride as part of a supportive group. We are well organized, informal, and have fun exercising while socializing.
We have scheduled stops along the way to ‘Group Up’ and hydrate. Bring any kind of bike or rent one. Bikes with gears are recommended. Are you ready for a beautiful fun day?

If this seems too challenging or uncertain – just come and do the first part. This is how the ride is designed. The point is to get out and show up for social exercise in the beauty of where we live. (EZ Bike Rentals – see end of post)

HISTORY OF OCEAN BIKE TOURS
We have led over 370 bike tours over recent years on bike paths, side roads and paved trails (No PCH) along the ocean from Laguna Beach to the Queen Mary. Meet new friends, like-minded people, exercise and enjoy the beauty of where we live. Please read the entire post.
SELF REGULATED FUN
We ride as a safe, supportive group for casual exercise in well-organized rides and everyone is Self-Responsible. You should have a basic level of fitness and show up with a bike in good working order or rent a bike.

THE RIDE
NOT a ‘pack ride’ and no PCH, keeping to trails and side streets. Plan for 4+/- hours and 22+/- miles. Leave from the Galley Café to Bayside Drive to Corona del Mar Heights. After lunch we take a route through UCI to the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary and return back to Newport Beach via the Back Bay trail along Irvine Avenue into neighborhoods and on to Castaway Park and the Galley Cafe. A few hills and a bike with gears is highly recommended.
PICNIC
We will pause for a picnic at Harbor View Shopping Center. Pack your lunch or many places to buy food. 1610 San Miguel Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92660
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Biking and running activities and all outdoor sports outings are rewarding and pleasant activities, but there are common dangers you should be aware of including Covid 19. By signing up for this bike trip, you assume the risks of the outing and agree to release the organization, the trip organizer and other participants from claims for any and all injuries or other losses sustained during this trip. Helmets highly recommended.
BEHAVIOR
Please! – No creepy, negative types, anger issues or controlling behavior invited. This is always a supportive group of like-minded people, and it is important that people feel safe. Some adventurous people are trying Meet Up and a bike ride for the first time and we plan with this in mind.

Park in the Bayside Center Shopping Plaza at Jamboree and Bayside Dr. Walk across the bridge onto Balboa Island on the right-hand sidewalk. 1st building on the right is Sports Rent.
Come early to rent a bike and peddle up Bayside Drive to the Galley Café to be ready for the 10:00 start. As you leave the rental place just stay on the left-hand sidewalk over the bridge and all the way to a left on Harbor Island Drive.

Keith is a huge advocate of self-care and empowerment and regularly facilitates classes throughout the U.S.A. focusing on Divine energy medicine, holistic wellness, science & spirituality, meditation and nature retreats. Rev. Keith believes that all paths can lead to spiritual liberation, and that practicing the cornerstones of meditation, affirmative living and prayer, and gratitude on a regular basis cultivates the experience of wellness and joy.

MEDITATION
We have heard and read of the positive benefits from Meditation. Meditation can help slow the mind and open the heart. The only thing we control is our attitude. Personal changes and transformation are an ‘Inside Job’. Go within as we attract not what we want but what we are.
Physical Benefits of Meditation
With meditation, the physiology undergoes a change and every cell in the body is filled with more energy. This results in joy, peace, enthusiasm as the level of energy in the body increases.
On a physical level, meditation:

· Lowers the levels of blood lactate, reducing anxiety attacks
