the web is fascinating and while the web community in Osaka is sparkling, we do feel that there is little opportunity to exchange in english - the language of the web(?). In our meetups we often have presentations by our members on topic which are of their interest:
Wordpress Plugin? Cool thing. Secret for AWS! Certainly. Usability of japanese websites? Yes, please. Typography for Accessibility? Nice. Latest GraphQL framework? Definitely.
We want to organize events with presentations and we welcome anyone to join and present their projects, ideas or new things they learned at the meetup. This meetup could be your opportunity to practice your presentation skills and/or find like-minded friends to exchange about life as web (semi-?) π professional.
Recently, more and more members from Kyoto have a hard time joining us, which is why we recently set up the KWDDM which, same like this here, is organized by volunteers. Any money we collect is just to cover our costs.

With the end of year coming our way quickly, we are getting back into the development saddle in this months meetup.
For the first presentation we will look into SQL Databases. From "Why are databases a thing?" to how to start using them and why. Even in 2024 SQL still has its place in the development stack and we are happy to come back to it. (βLink)
The second presentation is going to be a meta presentation/workshop on the topic of "How to present". OWDDM was conceptualized to be a place where people can try to present things. In this second workshop we are going to try together to become better at presenting our work and passion. (βLink)

In December we always take it easy and to let the year end, we have organized a 2h menu in Osaka to come together at a nice Izakaya for a good meal and drinks at the end of the year. πΎ
We arranged for a 4500ε menu that looks quite nice but we have to ask you for advance payment (as we will be charged if you don't show up π ).*
Please note that the sign-up finishes earlier than for our regular events and also see the text below regarding menu and payment.

The menu of the venue is changing every month. We don't have the December menu yet, here is the November menu for now:
- Sea urchin-flavored pudding, bacon and broccoli potato salad, chicken and autumn vegetables with black vinegar sauce.
- Grape and bean salad with sesame dressing
- Boiled edamame with salt
- Assorted Sashimi
- Tempura of red fish and squid with yuzu pepper sauce
- Grilled pork with truffle sauce
- Udon noodles with saury-tempura and large nameko mushrooms
About the venue & menu: We are sorry to not be able to prepare a Vegetarian option this year. Trying to organize is somewhat stressful we simply had to give up for our sanity.
