Similar but a bit longer than last week for those who joined. We meet at P7 (Kingsmere) parking lot and start right at 09h00 out of respect for those with plans after. See the map I put up and look all the way over to the right.

We'll hike up to Trail #6, do that loop, then head west on the #1 to a shelter. faster folks might go as far as Huron cabin and slower-paced folks can turn around at Keogan cabin. We'll play that by ear.

No serious elevation anywhere really in the Gatineau Park, but this will still be more than just a gentle, slow meander. The trails are not flat. Well parts are actually, but there are some slightly hilly bits - one in particular, though not long. Trail #6 (Skyline loop) is short and not hard, but a bit more technical and rocky in parts, so make sure to have decent hiking shoes or boots please.

No trail running, but expect a bit of a workout and relatively quick pace. If you're fit and used to hiking, it'll be a walk in the park ;-) OK, I'm not funny ...

Again, if you lean towards slower, easier walks, I suggest you pass, as you’d likely get dropped. Out of respect for all, I just want to be clear and manage expectations. Everyone’s happy that way. Basically, as this is meant to get our blood flowing, you can expect a good little pace on beautiful shady trails - and even a nice little view or two. Yes, we will slow down a bit at times no problem at all, for those a bit slower paced, but again, expect a brisk hike.

Bring a water bottle and a snack if you wish for a short pit stop. Absolutely no need for serious backcountry hiking gear, packs or poles (unless you prefer or need that).

Bring a +1 if you'd like, if they enjoy a good pace too and well-behaved dogs, leashed throughout, are also more than welcome. Our sweet and gentle Rocket would enjoy the company I am sure! Optional coffee in the village after for a bit of socializing if you’re up to it as well. :-)
