This is a Level 2 hike - more than 5 km, but generally suitable to all skill levels. The first part of the walk is on the Jack Pine loop for 2.2 km. The second part of the walk is on the Lime Kiln trail (Trail 25) and the Chipmunk/Beaver trail (Trail 28) for a distance of 6.2 km, returning to the P9 parking lot.

5\. Description
Stony Swamp, located 15 km south of Ottawa between Nepean and Kanata, features a network of beaver ponds, wetlands and forests, and is the most ecologically diverse protected area in the Ottawa Valley. There are 40 km of trails. It’s a mix of nature trails, cycling trails, and trails that are easy-to-moderate trail running.
