But what Thessaloniki is MOSTLY famous about, are the countless cafes, the vibrant bars and restaurants, the culinary experience for your palette, the busy night life, the innate local hospitality and the bliss every one feels after a walk by the sea, taking a well deserved Christmas break.

Thursday 19th December : Arrival & meeting up with all travel companions, having dinner with local cuisine specialties and around trendy bars, enjoying Thessaloniki by night.

Friday, 20th December : A walk around the historical city centre by Eleni 'as a local' to explore its sites, scents and colours during the day.

We are visiting the contemporary Modiano covered market & Kapani open market, Aristotle Sq, Ladadika, the patron st Demetrios cathedral & crypt, the Rotonda, the Arch of Galerius, Navarinou sq and so much more.

We are having lour meals in authentic taverns and modern restaurants, indulging in local flavours, numerous mezedes - local specialities, cause cause food tastes best when shared!

A visit with magnificent views on top of the White Tower, the major landmark of the city.

Saturday, 21st December : Take the time to visit the very important Archaeological and Byzantine museums, the newer Jewish museum or chill out around the city's festive cafes, bars and the vibrant seafront.

Thessaloniki is named after the sister of Alexander the Great in ancient Greece. Admire ever lasting treasures, and world heritage sights.

Sunday 22nd, December : Departure date and / or make the most of Thessaloniki before your flight.

The upper old town (Ano Poli) remains untouched from the 1917 and the Byzantine walls await for more stunning views, atmospheric streets and traditional taverns.

Kindly allow some flexibility to the above itinerary for an optimal experience and time management when there.

FEEL FREE TO ARRIVE ON FRIDAY, 20/12 AND STAY TILL MONDAY 23/12 if you wish to take your time in an extra day, explore better on your own and enjoy further, subject to availability.
