Let's go for our annual stroll alongside the mighty Fraser River and see some friendly faces in wide open spaces.

The trail: flat and easy for experienced hikers (18 km in total). The bunnies at our lunch spot: fluffy and big-eared (if they make an appearance).

The near absence of elevation gain may suggest that this will be an easy walk, but at 18 km it may prove to be either easy or hard, depending on your level of fitness.

The walk is is exposed, so bring plenty of protection from the sun and the wind... layered clothing, a hat and scarf (in case of cold wind), plus lunch & fluids to enjoy halfway through the event.

The hike will start at 10:00 am. We should be done by 3:00 pm.

The trailhead is accessible by Translink bus. Car-pooling can also be arranged via the comments section below. We will meet at the Rocanini Coffee Roasters coffee shop, 3900 Moncton St #115, Richmond, BC (at the corner of Moncton and No. 1 Road, Steveston.

All-day parking is allowed on nearby streets.

If you are given a lift, please bring $15 for your driver, plus a bus ticket if you want to ride back to your car.

Steveston has several coffee houses, so having a hot coffee or hot cocoa at both ends of our stroll is an option. Gelato is another possibility...
