A fun and sociable day hiking!
We meet outside the National Concert Hall, Earlsfort Terrace at either 9.30am or 10.00am (please check the schedule page of our website to confirm as it may be either of the above times - https://www.gay-hiking.org/schedule) and car pool (which is arranged on the morning). If you have a car and are able to offer lifts - great. If not, we'll get you a space in another car.
Each hike generally has two options: faster-paced and slower-paced. This is a full day hike. We aim to return to Dublin before 19.00.

Our hikes are in remote mountain areas, sometimes through challenging terrain, and the weather is often changeable. The following items are essential:

* Gear: sturdy walking/hiking boots, a waterproof jacket, warm fleece or jumper, hat & gloves, and a small backpack.
* Food & Drink: packed lunch, 1.5 litres of water
* Change of Clothes: for after the hike—these will be left in the cars.
* €2 for the hike
