Depicting the stark reality of war-torn London, a resilient young evacuee embarks on a dangerous journey home to his mother (Saoirse Ronan) in this moving British historical drama, which features a theme of racism and some distressing scenes. Directed by Steve McQueen.

Please note that the foyer will be busy as there is another event on. I'll aim to be at or near one of the tall tables in front of the box office (or to the side if that's not possible). Meet from 6.30pm for a drink/ice cream and chat. There will probably be seats available to book on the day. I'll try and reserve enough for us when I arrive so that we can sit together.

The programme starts at 7pm and the film will probably start 20 minutes later.
