What we’re about
Welcome to Out There Award Scotland Graduates Meetup group.
This group is for anyone who has completed the Out There Award in Scotland and is a place to link up with the community of graduate. The group canbe used to learn about the next steps you can take with the Out There Award and with Ramblers Scotland. Be it getting out walking with young walking groups, signing up to the Out There Award Plus or becoming an Ambassador this peer group has all the answers you might need.
If you're wanting to get walking with our groups this page provides you with all the links you need to find amazing walks near you. If you really enjoy it you can become a walk leader for one of our groups.
The group is primarily a peer to peer group with Out There Award Ambassadors acting as organizers for the group and has a code of conduct that everyone has agreed to by signing up as well as group rules which must be adhered to.
Walks are not organsied through this group page as it is a feeder group only for walks.
Our cohort of Ambassadors lead walks with the young walking groups as part of the year long syllabus. If you fancy your first walk with a group being one being led by someone who has also done the Out There Award then these might be for you. There all low level, social walks so the perfect introduction to group walking. Details of these walks will be shared on this group page but sign ups will need to be done via the relavent young walking group.
