Hong Kong is a magical place so I thought it would make an exciting place for the group to visit. We will be there over New Year and will be able to celebrate New Year's Eve in the region.

Day One
Fly to Hong Kong from chosen airport

Day Two
Land in the morning of Day Two. Time to have some rest before heading to the beautiful Nan Lian Garden. We can chill there and admire the natural beauty of the city. It is one of the most beautiful natural spots in Hong Kong. After that have some lunch and head for a relaxing stroll on Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and Avenue Of The Stars.

Day Three
Today we will go up the Victoria Peak. The Peak not only has tremendous views out over the harbour and neighbouring islands, but it’s also a foodie destination and a place of historical interest.

This Hong Kong attraction is very popular among first-time visitors. You can either take the tram or hike your way to the summit, which stands at 552 metres above sea level. Don't forget your camera – The Peak Hong Kong boasts panoramic views of Hong Kong and the South China Sea.

Next we can head to Causeway Bay for some shopping. it’s your first time in Hong Kong, head to the neighbourhood of shopping streets around Causeway Bay, where you can immerse yourself in Hong Kong’s iconic street scenes – busy, bustling, and always on the go.
The streets around Jardine’s Crescent are packed throughout the day and night – they're also popular spots for acquainting yourself with the city. Get a first glimpse of the trams rattling along Hennessy Road, with huge flashing billboards.

In the evening we will board a boat on the harbour to see the sound and light show.

Day Four
Full day trip to Macau. A mere hour away by ferry from Hong Kong, you’ll find one of its most popular day trips: Macau. This former Portuguese enclave is positively overflowing with colonial charm and history whilst simultaneously offering the temptation of being the world’s biggest gambling centre. Culture and history buffs will not be disappointed; some must-see sites include the Ruins of St. Paul’s Church, Guia Hill, A-Ma Temple and the gorgeously quant village of Coloane.

Day Five
Trip to Stanley Market and Murray House which are situated in the town of Stanley next to Chung Hom Kong and Repulse Bay, on the southern coast of Hong Kong. The market is made up of winding lanes stocking an assortment of gifts, clothes, antiques, and watches. Less than 5 minutes away from this open-air marketplace is Murray House, a restored colonial building that was relocated from Central. It has several restaurants on the 1st floor, all of which overlook Blake Pier and the South China Sea.

In the evening we will head back to Kowloon to celebrate New Year's Eve and see the fireworks

Day Six
The perfect way to spend New Year's Day would be to go to Cheung Chau.
It is just 40-minutes by ferry. Cheung Chau is a destination that combines the buzzing activity of its busy harbour with the quiet tranquillity of its beaches, all within easy reach of each other. Highlights include ancient temples such as the Mini Great Wall, along with Cheung Po Tsai Cave, which can both be explored in a couple of hours.
Then head to one of the beloved open-air seafood restaurants where you’ll find dish after mouthwatering dish at reasonable prices.

In the evening we will go to see the horse racing which is supposed to be really fun

Day Seven
Today we will do a walking tour of the key points in Hong Kong and see some of the temples and interesting buildings. We will also get the star ferry so we can see the Hong Kong skyline from the water.

In the evening we will head around the Nathan Road night market to do some shopping and grab dinner

Day Eight
Today we will get the cable car to
the island of Lantau which is the largest that can be reached from Hong Kong and is a beautiful, vast expanse of gently rising forested mountains, small villages and pristine beaches, perfect for a day trip to unwind and relax.Some of the numerous cultural sites that are simply unmissable include the Wisdom Path and a visit to the Tian Tan Buddha; perched at the top of almost 300 steps ascending the mountainside.As is common with many of Hong Kong’s outlying islands, you’re also guaranteed to find some truly world class seafood around the coastal villages of Lantau.

In the evening we will have dinner at the 100 observation skydeck which has great views of the city.

Day Nine
We will do a street food tour in the daytime and then some last sightseeing.

In the evening we will head to Lan Kwai Fong for our final night which is usually buzzing with fashionable locals and trendy tourists seeking a cool place to hang out and enjoy a few drinks once the sun goes down. These areas are arguably Hong Kong’s busiest nightlife districts.

Lan Kwai Fong is a cobble-stoned maze of restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the middle of Central in Hong Kong. SoHo caters mostly Hong Kong’s elites, thanks to its extensive range of high-end multicultural restaurants and chic bars.

Land back in the UK

Finer Details Flights should cost around £600 to £700 which we will book nearer the time. Hotels will be around £400 to £450 for the 10 nights. There is a £100 deposit to pay now to secure your place. Please book on if you are interested and I will be in touch about the deposit. I will also make sure the hotels have free cancellation if we can't go due to covid but hoping it will be over by Dec 2024
