Lower Wissahickon day after Christmas night hike

**MEET AT 6:00pm with 6:15 SHARP departure**
**Note hike is Thursday, not a Wednesday, due to Christmas**

This weeks "weekly night hike" will take us to the Lower Wissahickon that we rarely get to explore. We will be covering about 5-6 miles. Plan to move at about 3.5mph with very few stops. Be prepared to do your part by keeping up and communicating to those behind you when we come across intersections in the woods: straight, left or right.
We do our best to stick together and look out for one another. But if you are really struggling, you will need to find your way back to car.

Gear required: hiking footwear as there will be plenty of rocks and roots, water as needed and headlamp.

Light rain or shine event. Heavy rain or storms will cancel.

PARKING AND MEETING LOCATION: We will meet at Blue Bell Park located at 842 W Walnut Lane (see Meetup pin). Gates close at dark, so park on the street. There is plenty of parking on Walnut Lane near the park entrance as well. Do not leave valuables in plain sight!
