Walking the Monroe Township Bike Trail

Details

This trail is a paved path that accommodates runners, walkers and bikers. It is a straight path out and back. The length from start in Glassboro to the end in Williamstown is 7 miles. For this hike, we will head out to the half-way point at Fries Mill Road and turn around to come back. The total distance will be around 5.75 to 6 miles. The pace will be a moderate pace at 18-20 minutes per mile. Since this is a moderate pace, to be fair to the group, ALL hikers MUST be able to keep this pace for the entire 6 miles and hike with the group. Suggest running shoes as we will be on pavement. Will most likely not need hiking poles.

We will stop about 1.25 mile in for any clothing adjustment for about 5 minutes. We will also stop for a quick snack for about 15-20 minutes about 4.5 miles in.

There are no bathrooms before, during or after trail. There is a Wawa about 1 mile away on Delsea drive in Glassboro.

Please prepare for possible ticks, deer flies and mosquitoes. I don't usually see them on the paved path which we will be on.

Please arrive at 845am. Plan to start on time at 9am. There is parking along the trailhead. I will be beside a black Honda Pilot. I have a long blonde braid.

I do keep my cell phone handy so if you need to reach me prior to start, you can message me in meetup or text me at 856-366-7279.
