If you are new to my hikes you have to message or email me before you can register.Priority will be given to those that regularly attend or who cancel their reservation at least 24 hours ahead of time.
Cattus Island County Park spans 500 acres with 7 miles of trails.These trails take you to the pennisula on Silver Bay,Mosquito Cove and Barnegat Bay.On our route we will visit each trail until we reach the beach at the northern end.
We will hike the main trail, red (Maritime) trail,yellow (Yellowbank) trail, blue (Island) trail,blue and white(Island Extension) trail and orange (Hidden Beach) trail.We finish our hike on the long boardwalk back to picnic area and parking lot.
Some of these trails will be very muddy with visible tree roots. Some of these trails begin or end on the main trail so if you are not comfortable doing all the trails,pick your route.
At the end of the hike I am planning to have lunch at the picnic area near parking lot.
