Mural Walk in Philly & Christmas Market
Details
Join Diane and Pat as we co-lead a 5-ish mile trek through the streets of center city Philadelphia to view approximately 30 murals and numerous Zagar mosaics. We’ll start at 10 am sharp at the Independence Visitor Center, 599 Market St., Philadelphia, just inside the entrance by the rest rooms. Meet Diane there. Best way to travel is round trip on the PATCO train to the 8th & Market stop in Philly. The visitor center is a 2 block walk from there.
If you are unfamiliar with PATCO or care to travel with others, meet Pat at the PATCO WOODCREST station by 9:00 am and travel in with her. Please message her to let her know to look for you at that station. Ticket machines take cash or credit. Wear comfortable shoes as the walk is on hard pavement. Rest Rooms are available at the start and lunch break. We’ll have a very brief (20 min) lunch stop at the Whole Foods on South St. during the hike.
If you change your mind about coming - be considerate and update your RSVP so wait list people can get on!

NOTE: This walk is a solid 3 hours, possibly longer, please plan accordingly.
After the walk, on your own, we can walk you to visit these events within a block or so from our last mural: The Christmas Village in Philadelphia , an extravagant winter wonderland featuring a large variety of local artisans, designers, crafters and jewelers offering their unique, holiday-inspired handmade goods and gifts and Philadelphia Christmas Village, an outdoor Christmas Market at which vendors in wooden booths sell international seasonal holiday gifts, ornaments, arts, and crafts, as well as European food, sweets, and hot beverages.
