** Lake Poinsett State Park**

5752 State Park Lane
Harrisburg, AR
We will meet at the Bass Pro Pyramid north parking lot off Front Street (the smaller parking lot close to auto bridge over to Mud Island) at 8:45 am for those who would like to carpool. We will leave at 9:00 am.
About this park:
Lake Poinsett is a small, quiet park that is perfect for getting away for the weekend or just a few hours. Year-round interpretive programs educate guests on wildlife and the history of the area with trail hikes and kayak tours available. The trails are easy to traverse for all ages.

Planned Hike: TBD
While there’s no hiking listed at this state park, Lake Poinsett’s location makes it an ideal base for exploring the beauty and history of Crowley’s Ridge, north or south. Watch for updates on our planned hike.
Food: Gavin’s Downtown
For those who would like to join us for a meal afterward, we are planning on eating at Gavin’s Downtown.
I saw this place on Yelp and picked it because of the name. This may change, though, as I’m not sure it’s still open.
Every 3rd Saturday of the month
