What we’re about
UPDATE: Happily retired as of Sept 2023 and psyched up to spend more time outdoors. This Meetup began in Jan 2022 with the intention of exploring the outdoors on weekends as a group, starting with east of Atlanta, walking, hiking, start small, see where it leads. Some examples include: Harbins Park (Dacula), Yellow River Park (St Mtn), Fort Yargo State Park (Winder), Tribble Mill Park (Lawrenceville), Little Mulberry (Dacula), State Botanical Gardens (Athens), Ben Burton Park (Athens), Hard Labor Creek State Park (Social Circle), Watson Mill Bridge State Park (Comer). Park entrance fees may apply. Please leave your furry four-legged loved ones (dogs) behind.
By voluntarily participating in an event, you understand -- your safety is in your hands -- prior to attending, you as well as your guests are responsible for doing your own research to determine if an outdoor activity is compatible with your health and/or skillset, and you alone are responsible for discerning what items are necessary to carry with you. Organizers nor other members of the group are responsible or to be held accountable if an incident including accident or theft occurs.
